What EdgeNiq is

EdgeNiq provides algorithmically-derived trading signals (stocks, options, ETF directional calls, smart-money tracking, correlation breaks, volume conviction pings, and breakout intel) delivered via Telegram bot, a companion web dashboard, and a native iOS app (Android app planned for a future release). Signals are informational only. EdgeNiq is not a broker-dealer, investment advisor, or fiduciary, and nothing we send constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or endorsement to buy or sell any security or contract.

Signal classes

Different signal classes use different evidence and are delivered through different surfaces. All are informational only.

  • Stock signals — momentum-continuation and pullback-to-support entries on watchlist tickers (Pro) and the broader most-actives + Russell-2000 universe (Elite). Score 0–100, target ladder (+5% / +10% / +15% scaled by volatility regime), stop at −3% × regime.
  • Options signals (Elite) — ATM calls/puts driven by unusual-volume + block-print + OTM-spike heuristics. Ladder + stop computed at signal-time premium.
  • ETF directional calls + puts (Elite) — index and sector trend setups; calls when the trend is clean + RSI 50-70, puts on the bearish mirror.
  • Volume conviction (Pro+) — 10:00 AM ET ping when a watchlist name has done ≥20% of its 20-day average volume in the first 30 minutes. Trend continuation read, not an entry signal on its own.
  • Breakout intel (Pro+, default OFF) — info-only alert when a watchlist ticker breaks out on volume but fails the entry score gate (typically RSI overbought). Surfaces the move; the bot will NOT auto-trade it. You decide whether to act.
  • Correlation breaks (Elite) — once-a-day macro alert when two normally-correlated assets diverge materially.
  • Smart Money (Elite) — Form 4 insider buys + 13F hedge-fund position changes, with insider-cluster detection. See the "Smart Money data" section below for reporting-delay caveats.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for every trading decision you make and every order executed on your behalf, including orders submitted by the auto-trading feature. You understand:

  • Signals can and do fail. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
  • Backtests, win-rate figures, and example P&L are derived from historical data and do not represent guaranteed outcomes.
  • You are the account holder at Alpaca (or any other broker you connect). EdgeNiq is a third-party application that acts on your stored instructions; we never become the account owner.

Auto-trading (Alpaca integration)

The Elite tier includes an auto-trading feature that submits bracket orders to your connected Alpaca paper account based on rules you configure on /app/broker. The Live Trading add-on (+$49.99/mo) unlocks live-mode submissions against real-money Alpaca accounts.

  • Paper mode— orders route to Alpaca’s paper-trading API. No real money at risk. The risk-rails + kill switch are identical to live.
  • Live mode — real money, real orders. Enable only when you have validated your settings in paper. Every order is routed through your own Alpaca account; EdgeNiq merely submits the instructions you pre-authorized via your rule configuration.
  • You can halt all orders instantly via the kill switch on the dashboard or /kill YES in the bot. Orders that have already filled are positions on your broker account and must be closed through Alpaca directly.
  • We store your Alpaca API credentials encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and use them only to submit the orders your rules authorize. We do not withdraw funds, transfer assets, or take any action outside order placement and cancellation.

Automated exit features

Auto-trades placed via the Elite tier may be closed automatically by one of three server-side monitors. Each is on a different cadence and addresses a different risk:

  • Breakeven monitor — when an open position reaches your configured T1 (first take-profit), the monitor PATCHes the live Alpaca stop-loss order up to your average fill price. Always on, no opt-out. Locks in a no-loss outcome and lets the position run to T2.
  • EOD flatten — by default, ~15 minutes before the regular session close, every open auto-trade is market-closed to avoid overnight gap risk and short-dated options theta decay. Configurable per-user via /setflatten (off, threshold mode that only flattens losers below -N%, the default flatten- all, or the smart-EOD policy which preserves high-conviction overnight winners and only flattens short-dated options + losing positions). You receive a 30-minute heads-up DM listing what is about to close.
  • Adaptive trail (opt-in) — when enabled via /setflatten ride_winners, positions that reach T3 (third take-profit) switch from "flatten at close" to ATR-based stop ratcheting: the stop moves up to T2 when T3 prints, and then trails the high-water- mark by 1.5× ATR. Lets a winner run past T3 while still locking in T2-or-better. Disabled by default; opt in only after validating the behavior in paper.
  • Cloud-trail exit — opt-in only (off by default). When enabled via /setcloudtrail on, an open position is market-closed if its underlying flips to “stacked-bearish” on the multi-EMA cloud (5/12, 34/50, 72/89 EMA pairs all bearish + price below the short cloud). Aggressive exit — can close winners during deep pullbacks if the cloud flips before price recovers. You receive a per-position DM on close.

All three are order-routing actions, not advice. They follow the rules you configured. The kill switch and your direct broker access continue to override any EdgeNiq-initiated order at any time.

EdgeNiq Analysis (LLM-generated content)

The morning briefing includes an “EdgeNiq Analysis” section: a short plain-English synthesis of regime, sectors, news headlines, analyst rating changes, and the user’s portfolio context. This content is generated by a large language model (currently Anthropic Claude Haiku; provider may change as the technology evolves and we will update this section accordingly).

  • The model receives a structured snapshot of the same data shown in the rest of the briefing. It does not receive your broker credentials, contact information, or anything outside the briefing context.
  • The system prompt forbids buy/sell recommendations and requires the model to cite specific positions or numbers it discusses. Output is always tagged “Informational only — not financial advice.”
  • When the model is unavailable (provider outage, rate limit, daily budget exhausted), the section is omitted silently and the factual brief above stands on its own.
  • You acknowledge that LLM output can contain factual errors, hallucinated correlations, or stale interpretations. Do not act on EdgeNiq Analysis without independently verifying the facts it cites.

Mobile apps + push notifications

EdgeNiq is available as a native iOS app today and a native Android app is planned for a future release. The mobile apps share the same data and feature set as the web dashboard; they authenticate via a short-lived device-link code issued through the Telegram bot.

  • Push notifications — opt-in per device. The web dashboard uses standard Web Push (VAPID); the iOS app uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs); the future Android app will use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Disabling notifications on the device or revoking permission in OS settings stops delivery without affecting the rest of the service.
  • Sign-in — the iOS app generates a one-time link code and you tap it through the EdgeNiq Telegram bot to claim the device. The bot mints a Supabase JWT with a 30-day expiry that the app stores in iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences. Signing out clears the JWT locally; the device is unlinked from the account.
  • Reviewer mode— the iOS app includes a code- gated reviewer mode used solely for Apple App Store review submissions. Reviewer mode mocks the data layer and does not connect to any real user’s account.

Smart Money data

The Smart Money feature aggregates public filings (SEC 13F holdings and Form 4 insider transactions) from official government sources. These filings have inherent reporting delays — typically 2 days (insider Form 4) to 45 days (13F quarterly). You acknowledge that information surfaced via Smart Money is historical, not real-time, and positions may have changed since filing.

The “mirror” sub-feature (requires Live Trading add-on) submits orders matching a followed entity’s disclosed direction. This is an instructional pass- through, not a copy-trading service — you choose whom to mirror and the rules that size each trade.

Subscription + billing

Paid tiers renew monthly until canceled. Trial periods (7 days of Elite access) convert to expired status at the end of the window — signals stop until you activate Pro, Elite, or the Live Trading add-on. Add-on and tier downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Self-serve checkout is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card information. When self-serve checkout is unavailable (e.g. while billing is in soft launch), tier activation is a manual admin action and you can contact the admin to upgrade or change plans.

Cancellation: cancel any time from your billing portal or by contacting the admin. Cancellation stops the next renewal — your current period continues until its scheduled end. You retain access (and any open auto-trade rules continue running) until that end date.

Refunds: monthly subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the period has begun, because signal delivery and infrastructure costs accrue continuously. We may issue a pro-rated refund at our discretion in cases of extended platform outage or material billing error. Trade losses are never refundable — EdgeNiq does not take a position in your trades; you are the sole beneficiary and bearer of every trade outcome.

Acceptable use

You agree not to redistribute signals, reverse-engineer the scoring system, scrape the web dashboard, or use the service for any purpose prohibited by US securities law. Circumventing tier gates (e.g., sharing an Elite credential across multiple real users) will terminate access for all involved accounts.

Disclaimer of warranties

EdgeNiq is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee signal accuracy, data-feed uptime, order-execution timing, or profitability. Your use of the service is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeNiq’s total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes + termination

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes trigger a re-acceptance prompt in the bot. You may terminate at any time via /deleteaccount; we reserve the right to terminate for breach of these terms.
